It’s crazy to think we lived in the same little coastal city for four years and never crossed paths. Until, that is, one cold December night that changed everything. The Goldfish Bar was glowing, the air was crisp, and fate did what it does best. Hunter was sitting beside a heater with one empty chair next to him, and as it turned out, that seat wasn’t meant to stay empty for long.

An introductory conversation quickly turned into laughter and soon came jokes from his friend about how cute a couple we would make. We both went home thinking about how unexpectedly special that night felt. A few short weeks later, he would ask Roselyn on their first date. Nerves were high, but the night unfolded like a dream. It was simple, thoughtful, and somehow felt like the start of forever.

The rest, as they say, is history; but to us, it’s was the beginning of a lifetime of growing in the Lord together, worldwide adventures, and the kind of love you can’t plan for.
